Stara Planina or Balkan belongs to the powerful chain of the Balkan Mountains, which stretch from the Black Sea to the east, and Vrška Čuka to the west. The length of this mountain system is 530 kilometers. Nearly five months of the year, this Serbian beauty is under the snow. The altitude 1,100 and 1,900 m, has a great potential for development and construction of trails for alpine skiing.

The most promising Serbian Ski Center is located just on Babin Zub. Just on this mountain, winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy 13 kilometers of prepared trails for skiing or snowboarding. he whole area is rich in resources and has a lot of water. Rivers are characterized by purity, rich in trout and are ideal for fishing enthusiasts. Stara Planina is rich in animal species, so it provides the conditions for hunting. The richness of plant species is immense, represents a special paradise for mushroom gatherers.
