Stara Planina or Balkan belongs to the powerful chain of the Balkan Mountains, which stretch from the Black Sea to the east, and Vrška Čuka to the west. The length of this mountain system is 530 kilometers. Nearly five months of the year, this Serbian beauty is under the snow. The altitude 1,100 and 1,900 m, has a great potential for development and construction of trails for alpine skiing.
“Babin zub“, located at 1,758 m altitude and it is one of the most beautiful landscapes of Stara Planina. Midžor (altitude 2,169 m), the highest peak in Stara Planina and Serbia. Babin zub is the protected nature reserve.
Ski center has 6 lifts: eight (first gondola in Serbia), four-seat, two ski lifts and conveyor belt. More than 13 kilometers of perfectly groomed trails, of varying difficulty, are prepared for skiers of all categories. For lovers of extreme sports, provided a path to a free ride. In addition, the Balkan Mountains ski center is built system of artificial snow, so that, in the case of the lack of natural snow, visitors in the center can enjoy winter sports. This is only the beginning of the development of the ski center in Stara Planina.
